Name: On to the West
Item: Horizon Forbidden West
Rating: 8.5

Horizon Forbidden West is an excellent sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn. It follows up on our main character (and some other side characters) after the events of the last game and sets up the storyline for the next game in the series.

The story, graphics, and gameplay are amazing. I love the addition of the new mini-games and that I now have a base of operations with my companions. From a character development standpoint, it shows growth for Aloy's character who, for the duration of the first game, was an outcast, and sometimes seemed to prefer it that way. I would've loved to have more quests with our companions or have the option to bring companions you've unlocked on quests, but I guess HFW is still a single-player game at its base.

I do have two (maybe not so) tiny nitpicks. One, I could've done without the underwater stages. You can't fight underwater and they were just a whole lot of stress. Two, why did Aloy forget how to whistle? As someone who prefers stealth-style combat, not having the ability to whistle made it much harder (and mostly longer) to fight enemies.
