I have been a long time gamer since the Sega Genesis era and I have lived it those days going to ORORAMA LAPASAN to see what they have in stock for the next Sega Genesis games. There was one game that it stick to me everytime I go there. Me and my brother always wanted to get that game until we bought it on the Genesis, and its Street of Rage 3 (Bare Knuckles 3). We played that like there is no tomorrow. Time passed and is now 2020, DOTEMU released the new Streets of Rage 4! Once I got it, I played and tested it if if lived up its expectations and it did! See, Beat Em Up games are just like action games back in the day, 2D side scrolling with a 16bit game in a console. You cannot expect like high definition gaming back in the days. Now, no longer the sprites but in hand drawn effect like a (cheap) Adobe Flash-type of game. The also made it like a comic book since people are into MANGAs and superheroes. The fun factor is there when playing with friends especially this is now a 4-PLAYER COOP GAME, and by the way you can play with friends via online with this.

There are some a bit of gripe for me especially I already have played the Original Trilogy of the game. One is the old character sprites. I get it. People have their nostalgia on the old trilogy and wanted to have their old characters to be played in here. But it feels like they were being sloppy. Second is the dashing. Why I cannot have my characters, Axel and Blaze, run though the level? I do not understand it. They should have add it to the mechanics of the game. and thirdly, the game is somehow a bit difficult especially in the EASY MODE. There are a lot of enemies swarming to get you and you do not have the ability to distance yourself away from the crowd! Este, [#socialdistancing](https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/socialdistancing?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZV0AnXDhyxYj2unKUvpkmyVzg3msDyk1167NZNxs_RogSgNc20y27v4eob7o3wddxckkvrIKaCPH2eHWP8bOS0FM-mFKhMOoihqAdueyJPqSbdl3ws54lMpWI13THPLUM6A88jDoKdbI4gDWsUpR9pu&__tn__=*NK-R) is still effect you know. That makes the game a bit harder when playing SOLO. So best way to enjoy it is with friends. But it does not mean playing SOLO sucks. If you never have played any BEAT EM UP games, you will probably throw this away and never play it again.

So there it is, my review of the game. It is great but I do not want to ALL CAPS the greatness of it. It seems okay but I still wanted that dashing mechanic of the character back in here. Then if a group of enemies will pile up, I am still okay to [#socialdistancing](https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/socialdistancing?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZV0AnXDhyxYj2unKUvpkmyVzg3msDyk1167NZNxs_RogSgNc20y27v4eob7o3wddxckkvrIKaCPH2eHWP8bOS0FM-mFKhMOoihqAdueyJPqSbdl3ws54lMpWI13THPLUM6A88jDoKdbI4gDWsUpR9pu&__tn__=*NK-R) myself from them. STREETS OF RAGE 4 is now on NINTENDO SWITCH eSHOP if you want to get it.
