Automata had such a huge impact on me in the way it explored a variety of thought-provoking philosophical concepts such as the nature of humanity, the concept of free will, the meaning of existence, and the question of what it means to be alive. It also delved into the notion of the cycle of war, and the idea of what is truly "good" and "evil". These ideas are woven into the story and characters in a way that makes you think about them even after you finish playing.

The game's visuals might not be the best out there but its art style and music perfectly captures the game's post-apocalyptic setting and elevates the story and characters to new heights. I cannot recommend this game strongly enough. It is a true masterpiece in every sense of the word. NieR:Automata left a lasting impression on me, it has affected me in a way that no other game has done before.
