Name: Cinematic, engaging, fun
Item: Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
Rating: 8

Overall a very good single player experience. Lots of great story and cinematics ... in fact, most of the game feels like a movie. The story and vibe could easily be an MCU film (but with less cringy humor), even though the faces/voices don't share the films' likenesses. The team-based action and combat was well conceived but reductive in practice; all the fights ended up being: AOE stun move, AOE blast move, dodge and dodge and dodge. Feels like a faster-paced Mass Effect 3. If the story and production values weren't as high this would hold things back, but fortunately the game looks, sounds, and feels great. A worthy pickup for a medium-length single player diversion.
