In my quest to find games similar games to DOS 1&2, Kingmaker kept being recommend as a similar game. So, I really wanted to like this game, but I felt it was average. Mods for the game helped me enjoy it a little bit more.

The graphics were decent, except when some of the companions designs looked almost identical. I would sometimes need to look at the portraits to know which character I was controlling.

Sound and music were pretty good, but nothing memorable. However, I loved most of the voices of the characters, especially Jaethal's and Nyrissa' voices.

The game started with RTWP, but luckily it had a TB option. However, I began using RTWP towards the end of the story, because the game became boring. The characters were slow and the angles of the camera were frustrating. Which, the mods helped deal with those problems.

The game was fun for a few hours, but it became repetitive and the kingdom building did not add much entertainment for me.

If people enjoy this game, it has many options to choose different classes and paths towards beating the game.
