Harvest Moon Back to Nature on the PS! was the first game that got my eyes stuck to screen past midnight.

It was the simple, repetitive, and rewarding tasks that made me going, seeing the animals and crops grow, interacting with villagers and joining festivals and competions fueled my anticipation for the next day or season. And these paired with the right music and welcoming atmosphere.

Harvest Moon series became a special title for me until the charm fades when the original developers were no longer involved, when the Story of Seasons game was introduced, that rekindled the excitement.

The very first game in switch is an inspiration similar to Back to Nature and brings a lot of memories with improvements over the basics, and redesigns, while maintaining the charms I witnessed in Back to Nature.

Although the game is a great copy of the original, it feels basic, with areas feeling a little more empty, and not enough added features. While it may feel lacking for the current generation, it still manages to provide a good balance for an addictive and original farming simulation game.
