**I've never played the original, but this is the same expearence of the game that expeands on the FPS ganra and makes it unforgetable. Here are the positives and negatives. (WARNING!!! SPOILERS and a lot of them!!!)**

**Positives:**

1.  The story is easly the best story in video game history. In the begining you have a lot of questions like: Who is this Andrew Rayn? Way was Rapture build under water? How was Rapture build under water? How did it fell apart? The more you progress more and more questins get awnserd, but there are other mini-questions that you need to awnser yourselfe becouse Bioshock respects it's players as thinking people. You also have a Irish guaid called Atles who tells you what to do, where to go and what was happend over a radio
2.  The gameplay is super solid. I usualy aim doun my site in first-person-shooters, but this game made me adapt to aiming normaly and I love it. I think that it was a pretty good idea to make the R2 triger the button for shooting with your weapon and the L2 the button for shooting powers and I also think that mating the R1 and L1 trigers the buttons for switching beatwean the weapons and the plasmids. There is no sprinting and I think that is for the best becouse you need to be fast when your aming becouse you don't recover from damege.
3.  All the locations stood out to me. They all have ther own character with who you need to coperate or find and kill and there own theme. Here are quick reviews of all of them: Medical Pavillion is a great introduction to the game becouse in here you learn the controles, to always be careful, how to hack turents, drones and vending machines, how to kill big daddies and the basic splisers. Also the first boss is fine, but nohing special. Neptunes Bounty is much better becouse you have a fun quest where you need to take pictures of three spider splicers for Peach Wilkins so he can let you in his place. You also have more big daddies, new splisers, the location is way biggers and you get new powers. I also think that the boss is really interesting becouse Peach Wilkins tock all your weapons so you need to kill him with you plasmids and wreanch. Arcadia is a really fun forest themed locatin and it's different from the other locatins for 1 reasons. That reason is that in here you get your first and only multi-questin witch you have 3 goals you can complete in any order you want to. Fort Frolic is probably my favourite locatin becouse In here your guaided by one of my favourite characters, Sander Choen who's scary and super fun at the same time. In ehre you get probably the best mini-bosses in the game, Choen's formar desitpuls, who are mostly stronger versions of some of the splicers and you need to defeat all of them. Hephestus is a special locatin becouse you get to kill Rayn in here and the side quest in witch you need to blow it up is also very good. Butt the min reason this is so spetial is becouse in here Rayn and Atlas reveal to you the gretest plot-twist in all of gameing witch I'll talk about later. Olmpys Heights Is also one of my favourite locatins becouse it feels relly fancy and you breck Fontains spell in here. I also love how you can go to the private rooms of the peole of Raptures council and see what they have in store. Final Pint Prometheus, this is easly the weackest locatin in the gam becouse it has the worst level in the game, becoming big daddy, witch is so long and very annoying.
4.  I just really love the characters. Here's aquick ranking of them, not including Jack becouse he is a silent prota gonist and dosn't have much of a personalety: 7. Dr. Steiman. You abrlly spend any time with him and you mosly get to know him from the adio diaries in the locatin. 6. Julie Langford. You spend eaven less time with her, but she has more of a personalety them Steinmen. 5. Peach Wilikns. I actually like how paranoid he is and how he feels like a unhappy buisness man becouse of Rayn. 4. Briged TenenBaum. I love how series she is And some of her strugels do seam relatably. 3. Sander Choen. As I said he's scary and fun at the same time. Hes opsesin with the art of Death is just so fascenating. 2. Frnak Fontain. The best video game twist villain. I think that the reason he worcks so well is becouse you spend a fiarly enough time with him and he has good moties. 1. Andrew Rayn. The best video game villain and one of my favourite fictinal characters. Most video game villains are just there becouse the game needed a bad guy to advance the plot of the story and ro make the players feel happy for what he did to defeat him. Rayn is non of that, he not only makes the protagonist rethink all what he has done, he makes the player rethink everythink like: was he truly a good gay or a bad guy, did he know wat he was doing or was he used the whole time and was all of this real of facke. Other character on this list had something thet made them special, but Rayn is truly in a leag of hes own and no other video game villain tries to copy him becouse the truth is no othe villain can what Rayn is, Comstock got close, but missed and Lamp never stud a chance.
5.  The great bosses. Steinman is the worst beouse he's so bland and only shoots st you. Peach Wilikns is interesting becouse he trows bombs at you and, as I said, you can only fight him with your plasmids and wrench. Choen is the only optinl one and he's eaven dou he's a reskin of the hauntin splicer with more health he's still pretty deacent. Fontain is my favourite becouse he uses 3 of the plasmids in a stronger way. And I also think that the big daddy mini-bosses are pretty good.
6.  The powers are one the this that make bioshock sach a unice first-person-shooter. They are in form of plasmids tha you get from eve that comes from drugs called adams in little sister who are guarded by big daddies. When you have enough adams you can buy new plasmids and some of my favourites are the electro bolt, telecanises and the winter blast. Each one of them can be used in diferent situatins and they all react with other things.
7.  The enemy verayety. Most of the enemies are splicers who are crazy people that yused to live in Rapture befoare in fell apart. There are many different tipes of plicers, some can youst hit you with a weapon, some can shoot with guns at you, some can trow bombs at you, some can teleport and shoot fire or ice at you with their hand and some can crawl on the selings and trow heated hooks at you.
8.  The plot twist is apsolutly fantastick.The questins Rayn made you asck have been awnserd becouse you find out that your gaid Atlas was useing you to kill Rayn and take over Rapture. It thinrd out all the visins Jack had were fake becouse Tenenbaum made him age faster and put a fake life in he's head, she also programed he's maid to obay everything anyone tells him to do with the words would you kindy. Altlas was useing thoes words to make him do all what he has done and we also learn that Atlas is actually Frank Fontain who everyone thought was long dead.

Negatives:

1.  The final level was really bad. For some reason you need to become a big daddy and folow a little sister, but the little sister is slow and ceps telling you things like hurry up or don't be a slowpock eaven dou your folowing her. and when she's getering adam you need to protect her prom splicers wicht is just so annoying and frustrading. But the final boss and the good ending made up for that.
2.  The manual seving is terrible becouse 2 timesI didn't save the game for a wile and the game just froze and couldn't do enything but stop playing and when I came back I couldn't continue where I left.

If your a fan of FPS game I defenetly recomend you play this one and whole Bioshock trilogy.
