**I am still playing this game so this review is subject to change.**

**Gameplay: 7/10**

In this game, you run around in an open world, taking pictures of wildlife to fill up your animal book thing (kinda like the Hyrule Compendium in Breath of the Wild, or Pokemon Snap), helping animals, cleaning up the town, doing little tasks here and there, and standing up against greedy corporations.

Almost everything is easy to understand... except the map. I've just never been good at reading maps and the map in Alba is one of the most confusing ones I've encountered.

**Controls: 4/10**

Alba on iOS is played in portrait mode. It kinda makes sense because that's how the character holds up her phone to take pictures. However, this makes walking around in the open-world kind of annoying.

Maybe I've been so used to modern-day controls where one joystick controls movement and the other controls where you look, but I just find moving in Alba a bit awkward. The top half of the screen controls where you look and the bottom half is for movement. You can't control where you look while you walk around. The camera automatically adjusts depending on the direction you are running. IDK. I miss running in one direction while looking at another. Do you know what I'm saying?

I hope the controls on other platforms are better.

**Story: 7/10\***

I've not yet finished the game so this might change. So far, I am enjoying the pace of the story. It matches the mood.

**Visuals 8/10**

The art style is quite cute and easy to understand. They do reuse a lot of assets, but that is understandable.

**Music: 8/10**

**Music matches the vibe!**
