Aeons from FFX stands out among the best summoning system in the series, adding a new layer to combat vs the usual FF turn based system. Similary, allowing characters to freely switch from reserve to active adds a similar new layer, making combat a bit of fun to experiment with.

The story of FFX is very straightforward, a tad linear and more focused compared to other games in the series, adding to this is when exploring feels a bit stiff with no overworld roaming, found in previous installments of the series.

On its own, FFX stands to be a timeless RPG, an easy 9 if added with QoL improvements such as skipable cutscenes, faster combat, adjustable encounters, and faster navigation/travels.
