"FIFA 23 on the Xbox Series S has been a staple in my gaming sessions, especially when it comes to playing with friends on the couch. The game brings a lively and social element to gaming, serving as a fantastic bonding experience. The latest installment of the FIFA series boasts improved graphics and fluid gameplay that take advantage of the Xbox Series S's capabilities, enhancing the overall immersive experience of a football match.

One of the standout features in FIFA 23 is its hyper-realistic player animations and refined game mechanics, which add a new level of realism to the matches. This makes each game feel unique and exciting, particularly when playing with friends, as it captures the unpredictability and thrill of a real-world football match.

However, from a critical perspective, there are some aspects that could be improved. The game's AI, while generally solid, can sometimes exhibit inconsistencies, particularly in defensive scenarios. This can occasionally disrupt the flow of the game, leading to unexpected outcomes that might feel unearned.

Another point to consider is the game's Ultimate Team mode, which, while popular, can lean heavily into microtransactions. This aspect might not appeal to all players, particularly those who prefer a more straightforward gaming experience without the pressure of additional spending.

The variety of modes, including career and street football, ensures that there’s something for everyone, which is great when playing in a group with diverse preferences. However, the game could benefit from more innovative features to keep the series feeling fresh and exciting.

In summary, FIFA 23 on the Xbox Series S offers a fantastic football experience that's greatly enhanced when shared with friends. It’s a perfect game for social gatherings, providing a fun and competitive environment. While there are minor issues with AI and the emphasis on microtransactions, these don’t significantly detract from the overall enjoyable and bonding experience the game provides."
