The Walking Dead: A New Frontier opens up strong, its first two episodes providing a fantastic opening that grabs that feeling of the first Walking Dead game back. I’m genuinely excited to see what will happen to the group next, and I just hope that Telltale can keep the momentum going and keep me entertained.
I just hope Telltale doesn't disappoint with its result, as in the past some of the cliffhangers have had unsatisfying resolutions, not altering the story as much as I expected. While some things remain predictable, like needing to constantly look for resources or evil people showing up at the worst times, Telltale does a good job with its reveals and twists.
Both parts of The Ties That Bind Us are engaging, entertaining, and full of some heartbreaking moments. There was one instance of the game totally freezing for around twenty seconds without any previous issues, but other than that the game ran perfectly. It’s great to see Clem again, even if she’s not the same girl as we all fell in love with, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for her, for Javi and for the rest of the group.
