Even in light of its technical glitches, predictable narrative and total personality flatline, The Technomancer isn’t necessarily a bad game, it just isn’t a good one. It exists as an example of how Spiders dreamed of making an epic, open world RPG but ultimately was limited by its resources. Sadly, in its attempt to be like so many other great RPGs we know and love it loses its chance to be anything unique.
I really wanted to like The Technomancer during my twenty or so hours with it, but constantly I was pushed into battles that were just not fun. I liked my companions, their stories, and the overall progression of the conspiracies and faction wars occurring on Mars.
If you are a fan of action RPGs, and can stomach some flat line deliveries and awkward pauses, The Technomancer is definitely a game you should pick up.
