Overall, Scarlet Nexus is worth getting, especially for those who wish to challenge themselves. The story, animation, gameplay, and setting prove that Scarlet Nexus has what it takes to become a new tipping point for Bandai Namco to outdo other JRPG titles. I highly recommend players to play the demo first, then if they are satisfied, get the full version of the game.
Scarlet Nexus is, ultimately, some gorgeous, action-heavy comfort food. It is Saturday morning anime in game form, and while it will struggle to hold your attention from a story perspective, it’s also a good way to lose 30 hours in a fun combat system. It’s not a narrative powerhouse, but if you need a vehicle for bashing monsters with the might of your brain, it’ll suit that need just fine.
From the music to the visuals, from the gameplay to the story, this game packs quite the punch. Scarlet Nexus is a game that has definitely had a lot of love put into it. It isn’t some kind of one-and-done, generic feeling hack and slash game that people vaguely remember six months after launch. It’s a game that deserves the attention from people who like anime games and those on the fence about it.
