For a car or racing enthusiast, Project Cars 3 has a lot to offer. The depth of customizing, upgrading, and tuning up cars is impressive. The track-time experience is a lot of fun and generally feels realistic. When you pause it to enter “Photo Mode,” there’s also a variety of customization options to capture the drama of a race.
Project Cars 3 was a difficult game for me to enjoy. In fact, I barely remember myself enjoying it. It was more tedious to play the game every time I tried to give it a chance. I was expecting a bit more from this game and came out disappointed and frustrated. From what I’ve read up online, it seems that Project Cars 3 is vastly different from its predecessors in a way even its fans don’t enjoy. I can’t in good conscience recommend this game.
Project CARS 3 represents a huge shift in Slightly Mad Studios’ attitude towards racing games. I suppose this means the studio lives up to their name! What Project CARS 3 lacks in realism, it now makes up for with accessibility.
