Overall PIX The Cat is incredibly fun and addictive. Every time I said it would be my last go I would also drift to the restart button, and have another go. The art design is really good looking, and just jumps out of the screen in some cases. The music is very well composed too, adding to the overall atmosphere of the game. The only real problem is the small amount of lag from analog input on PS4, which costs time in a game where every second counts.

Overall, Pix the Cat is an interesting game, and will definitely be fun for anyone looking for a simple title with a decent amount of replay value, especially, if you try out its 2 to 4 player local only multiplayer, which lets each person hatch their own string of ducklings and try to take out the opposition by cornering them off. But, I would be cautious about picking this one up unless you have a history of spending long hours on arcade games such as PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX.

Pix the Cat continues PastaGames’ reputation for making incredible bite-sized gaming experiences. There’s even a surprising amount of depth here thanks to its multiplier and variety of game modes. ...It’s got a similar level of addictiveness and should scratch the itch of anyone looking for a retro-styled, but modern-feeling, game. Pix’s outstanding controls, graphics and sound design underscore an experience that any Sony system-owner should enjoy.
