All in all, New Super Lucky's Tale isn't a bad 3D romp at all, although veterans of the genre (or really gaming in general) are just going to tear through it with ease. This definitely puts the game into the for younger audiences crowd, for better or worse. Still, if you really dig these types of games and don't mind the low challenge and short run-time, the game may just be for you. Just make sure you've fully explored the genre first!
New Super Lucky’s Tale has some big competition on a platform that offers possibly the most recognizable video game brand ever, and not to mention Odyssey winning Family Game of the Year. However, it is a good time to be had by all with plenty of gameplay. Definitely worth a grab for households with younger gamers.
In a nutshell, New Super Lucky’s Tale will remind you of Nintendo’s flagship platformers. It plays really well too. The gameplay is fun in terms of traversal, while the same can’t be said for its combat. If you play games to immerse yourself in an interesting story, this game isn’t for you. It’s the type of game you or a younger family member will want to play on an easy morning. It’s nothing more and nothing less, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing for a game like this.
