Summary
In Sinclair Parish, a rural town west of the Bayou, Sheriff “Slim” Beaumont rules on a platform of fear and violence. When a Civil Rights leader is murdered, and other activists are targeted, Lincoln joins forces with sister-in-arms Roxy Laveau on an explosive mission to expose the town’s corrupt underbelly. Faster, Baby! is almost like a weird anti-Mafia III. The story, while not bad, doesn’t tackle its subjects nearly as well as the main game did. On the other hand, the gameplay is constantly changing it up and offering up fun new directions and ideas. If you enjoyed Mafia III and just wished it changed it up a little more, Faster, Baby! may just be exactly what you’re looking for.
Faster, Baby! starts off with a bang in its ferocious high-speed chases and demolition derbies but slows down after a string of repetitive missions. Its characters are superior to those found in the main campaign but its story is too short to have any lasting impact. But even then, its first few missions almost make this a must play especially for anyone waiting for a Twisted Metal sequel on PS4!
Sans résoudre tous les soucis inhérents au jeu d'origine, Mafia III : Faster, Baby ! fait plaisir à voir. Avec plusieurs nouveautés bien senties, un terrain de jeu atypique et très travaillé à l'image des missions proposées, un côté blaxploitatoin bien fun, ce contenu ne se moque pas du joueur d'autant qu'il propose en sus de nouveaux véhicules, une arme et des possibilités inédites.
