There is fun to be had, however, and if you’d like to support an indie developer and are in the mood for a short sci-fi story you can finish in a sitting or two, then give Lifeless Planet a try.
Lifeless Planet is quite different from the majority of games I like, but playing it for this review was an enjoyable experience. This type of game that may not be of interest to everyone, but for anyone looking for something left of center and if the premise of wandering around an alien world sounds appealing, this is a good title to check out.
Lifeless Planet tells an intriguing story with a compelling mystery that is worth experiencing. As a game, Lifeless Planet could have used more polish to tighten up the controls and physics as well as some judicious editing that would have made it a really good game. Instead, what is there is simply average and that’s a shame.
