Life is Strange started off as a game with a relatively simple premise, but it just continually manages to surprise episode after episode. Even with the strange rewind bug that hadn’t shown up until this entry, Life is Strange: Episode 4 Dark Room manages to provide not only the longest story of the group, but also the best one by far. With character interactions and moments that will test even the most emotionally detached, Life is Strange is setting up for one hell of a finale.

Overall Life is Strange: Episode 4 continues to impress and is by far the most enthralling and shocking one thus far. With some of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make within a video game, this episode is more than capable in putting you at the edge of your seat. With each episode managing to impress and surprise us more than the last, I can only assume that the next and final episode of Life is Strange will make our jaws drop yet again.

Dontnod have had me hooked since episode one, but no other episode has kept me on the edge of my seat like The Dark Room has. Truly harrowing at times, the very real and raw emotions at work come through in every line of dialogue and every action Max and Chloe take. Whilst your choices might not seem as valuable or as game-changing as in previous episodes, you’ll be too hooked in the story to really care or notice.
