Going beyond the story, we’re offered enough content that Sony deemed First Light worthy of a platinum trophy by itself. The bulk of this content is in the challenges, which are quite fun for really getting a chance to play with Fetch’s neon powers. ...First Light feels like a more focused title, and adds greatly to what was already an awesome open world superhero series.

It should come as no surprise that this game looks just as good as its predecessor – which is to say it looks gorgeous! Textures and lighting are high quality and the game remains smooth even when things get hectic. The audio is also generally to a high standard with a good sound mix, although there is a general lack of ambience during the quieter moments when you’re exploring Seattle.

So the story doesn’t pack a real punch, but the super-powered gameplay remains strong. Delsin had access to some of Fetch’s neon skills, but she feels more nimble and has some extra tricks up her sleeve. ...For fans of the story, inFamous: First Light is somewhat dimmed by rewriting events and motivations, but it’s carried along by Fetch’s fast, agile gameplay and a strong closing chapter. It’s not a must-play, but it’s a good excuse to run another lap around Seattle.
