Fallout 4: Automatron

As such, it's a perfect add-on for those either experiencing the wasteland for the first time or returning for a new play-through. It's simplistic and short story component means that it arguably doesn't have enough content to actually draw you back in on its own, and that's a shame, but if more Fallout 4 is on the cards for you already and you love customization, there's a strong argument for playing it with Automatron attached.

Going in with modest expectations despite that price point, this is a decent DLC release. The main draw, the robot-building feature, is cooler and more extensive than expected. I wouldn't get Automatron for its story alone, though. And I'd also hesitate to recommend it if you've already had your fill of adventures across the Commonwealth. You're better off waiting for Far Harbor and its new setting.

If you did happen to buy the season pass, don’t be afraid to drop whatever you’re playing to check this out. Not only is the value great on its own – this is one of the smaller DLCs, Far Harbour is rumored to be even larger than Oblivion’s Shivering Isles – but I think that this is a fair set of content that incorporates itself nicely into the base game.
