PS5 is my first entry into the Playstation platform. I've been enjoying the large library of blockbuster exclusives. While Days Gone doesn't have the same story impact as The Last of Us; the open world gameplay is much more enjoyable. But the story is still good - lost love; dispair; hope; and community.

Riding your bike is also just fun. Sometimes you want to ride instead of using fast travel. The need to incorporate stealth as well as strategic combat adds really good tension and variety. The hordes are like nothing else I've encountered.

Days Gone is the only game I've gotten the Platinum Trophy and its the only game that I truly wanted to keep playing after I beat it. Usually I'm ready to be done with open world games because of fatigue but this one, because of the characters and mechinisms, made me wish I could play it again for the first time.

I can say that this game is one of the masterpieces in its era. Especially when it was released on PC. This game really gave me an opportunity to feel the zombie post-apocalypse theme. Zombie encounters and hordes will really give you a heart attack. It was a challenging game. What I like about this open-world game is the whole story. Damn! I was too immersed in this game to the point I forgot that there is the main story. The side quests are entertaining. This is one of a kind game for this generation.

I want to begin with the good, the best thing about the game is killing the hordes, it’s challenging but entertaining, I didn’t kill all of them though. Next, the story, it isn’t unique or anything but it makes you want to know more, It has a secret ending after credits that is very interesting. And last, the mechanics, it’s so fun to discharge your ammo agains the enemies. Now the not so great, first, it starts slow and is a long ass game, is an open world that makes you do a ton of repetitive stuff like clear camps, rescue people, find and deliver things. Second, the graphics aren’t so great, after playing the last of us 2 you feel like you are playing a not so good version. Third, the crafting mechanics, again reminds me of a sub version of TLOU 2. If you like open worlds and want to experience killing hordes of freakers (zombies) play it, otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it, there are so much stuff that you could play before this game.

I loved the game so much that i went for the platinum trophy. I also like how you can get better weapons, and bike upgrades which helps getting around much smoother.

Decent game, but not that good. The story has some shitty parts that are non-sense in my opinion. The gameplay tho is fun, and the graphics are pretty good. The story destroys this game.

Days Gone Is an Amazing Game from it's sight seeing views to fighting large hordes of infected people although it suffers from a repetition combine with a bland story,it did not stuck the landing

PS: I myself would not recommend this game in day one but several patches later, THIS IS NOW FIXED!!! GO HAVE FUN!

This is a great game because even on the lowest difficulty setting it is still a very challenging game. In order to survive you always have to have enough bullets, gas for your motorcycle and resources to craft bombs and melee weapons. There are a few things you can do other than story missions such as rescuing survivors or destroying nests. You not only have to take out humanoid enemies but animals or infected animals as well (usually wolves). The difficulty of enemies naturally increases as you improve your gear and progress through the story so if you don't do so well with enemies attacking you out of nowhere or weak with the horror genre in general, its best that you don't play this game.

Days Gone

At first, I wasn't sure if I would like the game, It took me at least an hour to get into it. If you feel that way when you start the game just give it a try you'll see it's worth it. Once you encounter your first horde at a NERO outpost you get the feel of the game. A vast open world where you scavenge for scrap and other supplies and encounter hordes of Freaks. I was able to get lost on the map just searching for things here and there because it's so fun to do. It's one of the best PS4 games I've played so far, I even got the platinum trophy for the game. I just had to do everything because it was so entertaining. Deacon St-John is just an amazing character you might not get attached to him at first but he gets to you pretty fast and you love every word from him. I liked the whole story of Days Gone, if you're looking for a good game to play I recommend this one.

days gone has a good but long story, the games combat feels fun for quite a while but the length of the story makes you want to stop playing the game once your around 20-30 hours in, but if you enjoy a long game with a lot of combat and beautiful scenery this game is for you.

One of the absolute best games I have ever played. I loved the story, the characters and how the world and the post apocalyptic tension were made in the game. And the hordes were really well made and a great idea for this type of a game. Waiting so much for the story to continue! I really hope they continue making this a new game series, as the first game was REALLY good, and the story and the world have so much potential for some great continuation.

One of the very best games I’ve ever played and at the same time probably the single most underrated game I have ever come across. I remember being blown away by the early gameplay reveal trailer and looking forward to it ever since. When it did come out I watched IGN and Gamespot reviews and and a few others and I lost interest. I started thinking about it again this year during the lockdown (while I was watching the Waking Dead!) and decided to give it a shot and I loved it. Gameplay is amazing - gunplay and stealth are great and both viable options, you can also craft weapons and use the environment and hordes to turn your enemies on each other. It's really satisfying when you blow enemy camp wall and watch from distance as the nearby horde wipes them out :D. The guns feel great too - really heavy and powerful (when I played The Rise of the TR after this I felt like Lara was shooting a toy gun). Playing on a higher difficulty setting also helps to get really immersed in the game world. Traversing never feels safe and when I run out of fuel during the night I experienced some really stressful but fun moments sneaking around the enemies to find some fuel without being spotted knowing that a confrontation will attract other nearby enemies and if you have to fire a gut you might quickly get overwhelmed by the swarming zombies. Later in the game as you unlock new weapons and abilities you feel more powerful and you loose that sense of threat a little bit (the game does introduce new types of infected to counter it though) but you then start dealing with the hordes and man, that is a lot of fun! Planning it beforehand is essential, strategically planting explosives, planning the escape route and using the environment to your advantage all really come together and feel great when you manage to not die. Aside from gameplay, two other areas I liked the most were graphics and storytelling which I found really intriguing with some jawdropping twists and turns - I constantly wanted to find out what happens next. Even the side missions like trying to find out the government's involvement in all this had me intrigued to the end. I really don't get 99% of the criticism this game gets. I believe some of it was justifiable due to early technical issues which now have all been fixed as the game received several updates. I bought it following the final update and I did not experience any more than an occasional minor glitch which you get in every game. I highly recommend giving it a go, especially If you like a post apocalyptic vibe ie the Walking Dead etc.
