The story is rather lovely, and the depiction of the relationship between the brothers is superb, but for me the environments and art direction are the real stars. Although the game could have looked even more incredible if it had received a new-gen makeover that did more than smooth out the rough edges, it's still a stunner: hillsides strewn with fallen giants, villages full of frozen inhabitants, serene boat rides through a frozen wilderness.
If you've already played Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, it's still very worthy of your time, but there's not much new to see beyond some concept art and commentary. If you're yet to play it, though, you now have no excuse. A well-told and engaging story awaits for those of you willing to forgive the slightly awkward controls. Enchanting and unique, this is a very welcome new member of the PS4 family.
