Ultimately, Battlefield 4 is a wonderfully robust experience with a predictably mundane single player campaign that could have been one of the best games on the new current-gen consoles. But, the number of game breaking issues that can arise detracts from the simple ability to play the game in very fundamental ways, makes it difficult to recommend on any level, as some gamers will be able to deal with the issues, while others wont.

Despite what equates to a lackluster single player campaign you’ve got an absolutely gorgeous looking and mayhem filled multiplayer that will hold your attention for hundreds of hours. Once the connection issues are hammered out by the folks at DICE and the instability issues are a thing of the past you’ll have what could largely be considered the best multiplayer experience currently available for the PS4.

Battlefield 4 is an excellent multiplayer game that makes the most of its ambitions, proving once again that destruction is a valuable strategic addition to competitive combat, which reaches its full potential with two killer Commanders are bringing out the best in their squads. ...Its PS4 launch problems aren't easily forgiven, what with the unreliable stability DICE is striving to fix, but because the core game is so strong, Battlefield 4 is worth either sticking with or waiting for.
