Summary

I’d recommend this trilogy for anyone that really enjoys laid-back, slice of life titles. Rarely are you going to go out there and save the world, but you’ll enjoy a happy life creating items and making people happy… and sometimes, that’s all you can ask for.
That’s not to say that the collection isn’t worth playing. It certainly gave me my Atelier fix while waiting for the next game, with whimsical characters and stories that I’ve come to know and love. So if you enjoy the series and haven’t gotten around to this group of games yet, Atelier Arland Series Deluxe Pack makes for as good an excuse as any to get back into the alchemy groove.
It’s been great to look back on some of the older games in the Atelier series; you can really see where some of the later games got their inspiration from. If you’ve never got round to playing this trilogy before then now is the perfect time to pick these up and experience a beautiful, heart-warming JRPG series – just in time for the fourth game in 2019!
