Finally, Kassandra just kinda rules, and not playing as her over Alexios is just a poor choice. Look, I don’t make the rules, but if playing as basically a foul-mouthed Wonder Woman isn’t appealing to you, then I don’t know what else to offer you. If you have the time and patience, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is worth a look, if not for the meandering plot and lore, than for the history porn, the earnest humor, and the massive, mystery-filled world.
Sam LoveridgeOct 01, 2018
It's an utterly beautifully crafted world and story, with cutscenes for literally days. After 70 hours I've only just finished the main storyline and I still have plenty to see in Odyssey's Greece, and it's a joy to keep on exploring. No-one's made an open-world RPG with this much depth and brilliance since The Witcher 3. This really is the ultimate Creed.

Clearing out Locations is always satisfying, especially when they require setting things on fire. Talking to Sokrates will make you question everything about your life and the game itself. Some of the choices you make will have a similar effect. You can’t come away from Odyssey without feeling like you were actively part of that great journey, from the highs to the lows and all of the incredible twists and turns in between. This is a voyage you don’t want to miss.

Gamers who manage to make it through that grind will discover a massive open-world map full of naval combat, treasures, and RPG gameplay loops. The best part of Odyssey is just how much it allows players to invest in their interests. Love to sneak? Stick to the Assassin talent tree and stay out of sight. Want to sail around recruiting soldiers and sinking enemy boats? There’s a big ocean out there for you to explore, as well.
Mike SplechtaOct 01, 2018
The game’s big focus on decision-making is a welcome one, especially since many carry through to the game’s multiple endings. If you’ve slept on Assassin’s Creed for a while due to oversaturation, and somehow missed out on the fantastic re-invention of the series with Origins, then Odyssey’s refinement makes it an absolute must-play.
James ThomasOct 16, 2018
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey maintains the fluid and much loved gameplay providing us with the biggest open world yet, glorious graphics and the return of naval combat. However, the shameless use of microtransactions, frustrating grind and uninteresting characters make Odyssey more of a chore to play than others in the series.Microtransactions: Yes. Players can use real money to purchase Helix credits which can be put towards boosters among other things. Prices start from £4.29/$4.99.

The steps forward in loot and RPG elements are great, but too many design decisions remind me of games I’ve already played. Fans of the series are going to like it, while those that don’t like open-world games won’t. Gamers on the fence about Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will find dozens of hours of exploration and fun in a highly customizable experience that is great despite a few annoying missteps.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is one of the better entries in the franchise, especially in recent years. Its side characters are solid, and I care about their personal conflicts and motivations. It builds on the systems established in Origins without trying to reinvent them, and the gameplay loop and core mechanics remain fun and engaging.
Alex NavarroOct 05, 2018
Odyssey is an example of why that mentality needs to adjust as these games continue to engorge themselves with every popular design idea they can find a way to integrate. Origins wasn't without its unnecessary pieces as well, but as a whole, it still felt fresh and unusual, at least for this franchise. If all you want is another huge, slightly lukewarm portion of a meal it feels like we just finished, then Odyssey certainly delivers that. Personally, I feel like I'm going to explode.

To wrap it all up, I am very much enchanted by this game. It is not without its flaws, for certain, but I didn't find any that broke the game or my appreciation and excitement for it. I feel that the step that Ubisoft Quebec took to make this experience more immersive and personal for gamers was a strong move, and they did it with style and a competence that greatly benefits the game as a whole.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey's ambition is admirable, which is reflected in its rich attention to detail for the era and its approach to handling the multi-faceted narrative with strong protagonists at the lead. While its large-scale campaign--clocking in at over 50 hours--can occasionally be tiresome, and some features don't quite make the impact they should, Odyssey makes great strides in its massive and dynamic world, and it's a joy to venture out and leave your mark on its ever-changing setting.
Mike WilliamsOct 01, 2018
Building upon the foundation established in Assassin's Creed Origins, Odyssey brings together that title's RPG adventure with the ship-bound exploration of Black Flag. Choice and consequence feature heavily in Odyssey, with the player guiding Alexios or Kassandra through a massive journey to reunite their family and kill a lot of people. Not every feature is perfect, with things like recruitment and Conquest Battles needing a bit of work, but overall Odyssey is a grand next step for the journey Origins started.
Kazuma HashimotoOct 01, 2018
Odyssey suffers in the same way Origins did as it searches for an identity within both the stealth and RPG genres. We obviously deeply appreciate the addition of such RPG mechanics and Odyssey often fines a nice middle ground between the two, but it ultimately isn't consistent enough on either spectrum to fully flesh out what the game could potentially be. If you enjoyed Assassin’s Creed Origins or want a game you easily sink over eighty hours in through exploration alone you will probably enjoy Odyssey.
Chris ShiveOct 01, 2018
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is not a perfect game and the tech issues in particular are fair grounds for complaints. Even with its faults, however, the positives greatly outweighs its flaws, though some old school Assassin’s Creed fans may be in an uproar over some of the more drastic changes to the traditional formula. Despite its issues, this is a worthwhile odyssey to embark on.
Joe JubaOct 01, 2018
The execution might be uneven, but Ubisoft Quebec ultimately strikes a successful balance among the many parts. The story is compelling, both as a hero’s journey and in the way it ties into the series’ wider lore. Exploring the world is fun, combat is empowering, and getting epic loot is a thrill. That solid core formula carries Odyssey a long way, but like Icarus and his wax wings, it’s not enough to reach the bright star on the horizon.
Brandin TyrrelOct 01, 2018
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a resounding achievement in world building, environment, and engaging gameplay with occasional problems throughout. Its incredible recreation of ancient Greece is something I’ll want to go back to long after I’ve finished its main story, and its excellent systems mesh together in a way that’s hard to beat. While there are definite rough edges, Odyssey sets a new bar for Assassin’s Creed games and holds its own in the eternal debate over the best open-world roleplaying games ever.
Robert RamseyOct 04, 2018
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a superb open world RPG. It can be a little rough around the edges, but there's a gameplay freedom to this particular adventure that's really a cut above what the series has attempted previously. With a gameplay loop that simply never stops giving, Ubisoft's recreation of ancient Greece is an amazing achievement, and in some ways, a genuine step forward for open world game design.
Mike HarradenceOct 01, 2018
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is ma-hoosive. It’s compelling, gorgeous to look at, at times messy and a bit daft, but more importantly, never feels tired or laborious. If Origins didn’t sway you, then this isn’t going to make any difference; although, if you hate Assassin’s Creed, you probably made that decision yonks ago. That’s a shame, though, as Odyssey is jam-packed with content and discovery that’s absolutely begging to be experienced.
Michael LeriOct 01, 2018
The quick turnaround makes this game a little creatively stagnant and is, in some ways, a step backwards from what came before. Although it crafts a wonderful narrative in an awe-inspiring world, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, through its stubbornness and familiarity, sometimes feels like a “best of” compilation of its predecessors without being the best of them.
Paul SullivanOct 01, 2018
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, for better or worse, feels like a palette swap of Origins. There’s a huge new world full of historical coolness and infinite things to do, but the enhancements are few and far between. If you loved Origins and want more of that you’ll gobble Odyssey right up, but Ubisoft needs to be diligent about making changes to these games if they’re going to continue pumping them out year after year.
Gareth ChadwickOct 01, 2018
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey throws so much stuff at you, it’s difficult to sift through it all. It’s a beautiful game to look at and the story is intriguing, but it feels like a game that could have been a little more ambitious if given more time to develop. There’s good ideas, from the branching story and character choice to the return of ship-based combat, but its ambitions also fray around the edges in a way that Origins didn’t.
Drew HurleyOct 13, 2018
Easily the best Assassin's Creed title to date, qAssassin's Creed Odyssey takes everything Origins overhauled and improving on it, adding in fan favourite gameplay elements, introducing an amazing, huge world, and, most importantly it's a heck of a good time… but… the shadow that hangs over it cannot be ignored. Ubisoft has purposefully handicapped the gameplay, tuning it to be slow and, at points, making the grind horrendous, all to try and sell a micro-transaction, and that is absolutely revolting.
Bengt LemneOct 01, 2018
It's been a while since we read up on ancient Greek history and mythology, but Odyssey certainly sparked our interest. It's difficult to imagine a place and time in history where there was such an incredible development in terms of medicine, politics, philosophy, and society, all in one place. That is perhaps the greatest takeaway from Odyssey, and while it fails to live up to the high bar set by Origins, it still manages to excel in some areas.
GameCentralOct 05, 2018
We’ve enjoyed Odyssey more than any entry since Assassin’s Creed II but it’s still frustrating that the franchise has done so little to improve the gameplay fundamentals upon which everything else depends. Although at least the one thing you can always say about Assassin’s Creed is that it definitely offers value for money.
Jordan BiordiOct 01, 2018
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a perfectly fine experience that works as an open-world action RPG. Fans of the series will find plenty to love here, while newcomers can jump right in having most of the connection to the preceding nine games (excluding spin-offs) been removed. If you like the kind of game that will keep you busy for hours upon hours with side-quests, exploration and character building, then this game is for you.
John-Paul JonesOct 01, 2018
A glorious sum of newly implemented RPG systems, refined traditional series beats and boasting one of the most entertaining stories in recent memory, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is simply the best in the series and one of the finest open-world adventures available.
Gianluca LoggiaOct 05, 2018
A questi giocatori, infatti, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey è fortemente consigliato.
Oct 01, 2018
Eugene AsseserovNov 11, 2018
Ahmet ÖzçilingirOct 01, 2018
Antik Yunanistan'ı keşfet, gizemlerin peşine düş, yüzlerce görev yap, yeni zırhlar silahlar kovala, askeri üsleri bas, savaşlara katıl, mağaraların gizemlerini keşfet, denizlere açıl, bu arada hikayeye çok takılma ( biraz peace of eden göstereyim, günümüze döneyim de eski hayranlar tepki göstermesin) Pek çok oyundan oynanış mekaniği ödünç alan Assasin’s Creed Odyssey, Assasins Creed Origins’i seven oyuncuların daha çok seveceği bir oyun.
Ralph BeentjesOct 01, 2018
