About this game
Content Rating: Teen
Ash of Gods is a mix between a roguelike role-playing visual novel and an online turn-based strategy game. This is a story intending to show all the complexity and ambiguity of moral choice. Good people often become rascals while inhumans behave more human-like than humans. This is the story of “angels” who after being given free will turned the life of humans into hell in the absence of a god. This is a novel that shows you that no conflict has a right or a wrong side because even your enemies have mothers and children.

For those who just want some quality turn-based combat to mull over, this might not be the best option because even if the combat works well it can feel clunky and uninspired. All in all, Ash of Gods: Redemption is a stunning game with a great soundtrack that tells some interesting stories, but it's not a tactical masterpiece and it tries to do just a bit too much for its own good.
Taking clear inspiration from The Banner Saga, Ash of Gods just about does enough to stands on its own merits, and delivers an engaging tactical adventure held back by a few minor faults
Ash of Gods Redemption is a solid enough tactical battler but its litany of flaws all conspire to create a game that, while ultimately enjoyable, cannot survive comparisons to the series it so desperately wishes to be.
