Playing through a second time reminded me just how f’ing awesome it is. I was never overly challenged with any one part of the game but collecting and a medal system for each level adds replay-ability. The touch controls from the Vita version make a pretty seamless transition to the PS3 controller via the shoulder buttons. If the PS3 or 360 is your platform of choice and you’ve yet to play this game, don’t wait any longer.

With its creative level designs and simple controls, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is the type of game where you can sit back and enjoy eating up everything on Earth without investing too much time, cash, or energy to do it.

It’s also quite short, hitting its stride within minutes of reaching its climactic conclusion and leaving the player with a slightly empty feeling. Mutant Blobs Attack is a clever and stylish game, and while its full potential is never entirely displayed, you’d be hard-pressed to find a game that makes mass destruction this adorable.
