Summary

Two castles stand opposed, bridged by an uneven, narrow pathway. One is yours, and you're quite fond of it. See how the parapets catch the sunlight ever so stylishly? The other is your enemy's; they're a jerk, and their crappy crenellations are driving down your property values. Also, their castle sucks, justification enough to try crush it using an enormous rolling stone. Unfortunately, they'll have a chance to plan and build up some security, doing everything they can to derail your razing rock.

The pre-race preparations have to be done before starting the race, and anything after that is to the whim and placement of the preparations themselves. Sure, players can jump the maps and manipulate themselves to victory, but making the game that one-sided takes away from the experience. Rock of Ages is a near miss, and it only has a few things keeping it from being a true rock of the ages, but it still offers something other games haven’t: tower defense on a race track.

While it’s a tragedy that the online components aren’t working, the single player is robust enough to keep players engaged for around 5 hours in terms of content. Plus the local multiplayer does work, so if you have a friend and an extra controller that is an option. Moreover, it’s tough to be too hard on the game since Plus members will get it for free this month. However, the rest of you will want to hold off until a patch is issued to fix the game. But if you’re in the market for something completely different and totally original (and don’t care too much for playing multiplayer), Rock of Ages has quite a bit to offer.

Seulement Rock of Ages manque peut-être d’ambition. Certes il s’agit "que" d’un jeu en téléchargement mais d’un point de vue graphique le jeu reste très/trop classique.
