If you haven't played a Ratchet and Clank game before, this is certainly a good place to start since it has a very short play time. At fifteen dollars, it also isn't much of an investment, as long as you don't count time wasted waiting for it to download. Still, if you can manage to busy yourself until the game is on your hard drive, Quest for Booty is a good game that will help fans fill the gap between Tools of Destruction and the unnamed next game, set to come out fall 2009.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty has been designed as a quick four-hour experience, but the formula doesn't fit the source material. Though its shooting and platforming sequences are fun and of a high production value, it still seems like there's something missing... and that's because there is (for obvious reasons).

Compared to some other PSN titles it doesn't offer the same replay value, but it more than makes up for this in production values and overall quality. If thought of as a mini-adventure rather than a full game it ranks up there with the best the series has ever offered and as such is essential to all action loving PS3 owners.
