Overall, Madden NFL 25 is solid, a football title that can and will be enjoyed. The progression from year to year is small, but how we look back in five years is what makes the difference. In all honesty, it’s tough to say which Madden is the best, for a lot of them look and feel the same with minor tweaks. But with that said, it’s an addicting game to play, especially when constantly challenged by buddies and self-appointed Madden kings. All the best fun is yet to come, once week one of the NFL season kicks off.

It’s not that Madden 25 is lackluster or terrible, it’s just that EA had produced so many great titles in the illustrious career of this game, especially last console generation, that the current console generation just couldn’t hold the weight of those expectations. Luckily for EA, the next-gen consoles are only a few months away and they can finally start fresh. Unfortunately, this current console generation has been pretty much a waste for EA.

While Madden is usually chocked full of features and game modes, this one seems to pull it all together better than others in recent memory. The UI is intuitive, and that goes a long way in showing you just how much content there is in the game to be played. It’s not going to blow you away with graphics that are better than what we’ve seen in the past, nor is the new engine going to be as big of a jump as it was last year, but it’s notably refined nonetheless.
