7 Games Rated and Reviewed
I wasn’t sure if I was going to buy this, but I’m glad I did. Most important- this game is FUN! It’s much more lighthearted than Ubisoft’s AC games. The graphics are great- on the PS4 Pro. The combat is fun. The bosses are challenging. The puzzles are fun- but there’s a lot of them. Hints for the game- definitely max out your health bars and potions to be able to beat the final boss. Get the god skill to control the speed of Apollo’s arrow- it will be helpful toward the end of the game. Of course also level up your stamina. Also get a horse early on for speed of travel. The game isn’t overly long at about 23.5 hours, and the map isn’t too large to be cumbersome. Overall a very good & fun game that I’d recommend!
Simply put- Truly Excellent! One of my favorite games of all time! First off- the game is stunningly beautiful. The grass, trees, red leaves, everything is stunning. The story is really good as well. I loved becoming the Ghost. Combat is really good. It’s great getting the different fighting stances. Recommend doing all of the side quests and clearing bandit camps. Definitely recommend doing the bamboo strikes to increase your health to be strong enough for the end of the game. I found everything to be interesting. This is one of the few games I cared about enough to go for 100% completion. So overall- this is excellent and well worth buying! Great open world game with plenty to do that’s all engaging. I’ve played it through twice already and will play it again in the future!
It’s been hard to come up with a review for this game. I don’t want to be too critical or I’ll get hammered in the comments. Overall a great action game. It follows well from the 2018 game. The graphics are great and the combat is also great. However, I found the main “villain” to be a disappointment. She just wasn’t a great Spider-Man villain. The only supervillain was Rhino. Also, the game is just too short for $49.99. It should have been maybe $30.00 or $40.00 max as it was only about 7 hours. I know it wasn’t supposed to be a full game, but the length was disappointing. Overall I’d recommend it if you get it on a good sale. I’ll most likely play it through again.
Simply put- Truly Excellent! One of my favorite games of all time! First off- the game is stunningly beautiful. The grass, trees, machines, everything is stunning. Great in 4k! The story is really good as well. I love Aloy! Combat is really good. Recommend doing all of the side quests and clearing bandit camps. I found everything to be interesting. This is one of the few games I cared about enough to go for 100% completion. So overall- this is excellent and well worth buying! Great open world game with plenty to do that’s all engaging. I’ve played it through twice already and will play it again in the future! The expansion is also excellent and worth getting!
This is a pretty cool game overall. I like the graphics and the London setting. The story isn’t bad, and the main missions are pretty good. However- There is some repetition with tasks. Basically go there- hack something, and get out. Where it really shines is the side missions- Dedsec Missions, Completing Burroughs, 404 Missions, etc. Some of these side missions are more challenging and interesting than the main story missions. I loved playing as the construction worker as she had the drone to ride into just about any area. I completed about 90% of the game with her. I’ve played the game twice already and loved it- and will play again in the future. I think it’s much better than some of the reviews it’s received. Give it a shot!
I wasn’t sure if I liked Valhalla at first. It seemed kind of slow in the beginning. Some of the quests weren’t too exciting. But after I got about ½ way through it- it became more fun and interesting. I played the all the main quests, Asgard and Jotenheim. I only played one mystery and one world event. Need to check more of those out. It took me 63 hours to play what I finished. I raided all the main raids but still wasn’t able to fully boost my settlement. So you have to seek out more regular chests in the world than I did. I wish I knew to save many of my materials until later in the game- especially to boost health, upgrade weapons, and upgrade my arrow quiver. I didn’t like the present day stuff- wish they’d just abandon that altogether. But it wasn’t that much of the game. The most difficult boss for me was Goodwin. It took me quite a while to finally beat him. He was harder than Basim or Fenrir. I did not seek out the Sisters- so I can’t speak to them. Overall I ended up feeling quite happy with the game. I’m glad I spent the time with the game that I did. Granted, I loved the first AC games much more. But this is a great game by itself. I’m hoping the DLC expansions will be just as good. Overall I recommend it if this is your genre of games!
Not worth the hype on PS4. Graphics are terrible- on PS4 Pro. Looks like GTA 3 at best. They should have taken notes from Watchdogs Legion, Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima to show that graphics can be great on the last gen consoles. I don’t think the story is that good. Very short for an rpg- main story is only about 15 hours. There are side missions, but main story should be the focus. Driving is terrible. For a game that’s taken this many years- it’s just not in good shape. Lots of bugs and crashes. Very slow loading times. Keanu Reeves is flat and boring. Give me Troy Baker or Nolan North any day. Other voice actors in the game are way better than Keanu. I’d pass on this one- I’m getting a refund!
