Once the game launches its full version this May, players can expect major changes in it, developers added. These included an overhaul in its crafting mechanics and a new 'Guild' feature. Creators have also added higher damage limits, and improvements on Pactspirit, to name some.

Torchlight: Infinite is the fourth title under the hit Torchlight series. The first installment came out in 2009. Travil Baldree and Diablo co-designers Max Schaefer and Erich Schaefer created it.

Baldreee and the Schaefers also co-founded the now-defunct Runic Games to develop Torchlight. After the game's critical and commercial success, they released Torchlight II in 2012. In 2010, Perfect World Entertainment bought a majority stake in Runic Games. Seven years later, the Chinese mass media company closed the studio.

Perfect World launched Torchlight III in 2020. Unlike its predecessors, the game got a lukewarm reception from gamers and critics alike.
