Blaze Entertainment has introduced the first products under their new brand, HyperMegaTech. These are the Super Pocket Capcom Edition and Super Pocket TAITO Edition, two handheld gaming devices loaded with favorite arcade classics.
Priced attractively at £49, $59, €59, these Super Pocket devices offer more than just pocket-sized convenience. With a line-up of licensed games, these handhelds promise a nostalgia trip for retro gamers and a new experience for younger gamers.
The Super Pocket Capcom Edition brings 12 memorable games, 11 of which are classic arcade games like Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Final Fight, and 1942. It also includes the console version of Mega Man. Presented in a Capcom-inspired color scheme, these games will transport you to the days of coin-operated arcades.
Meanwhile, the Super Pocket TAITO Edition is loaded with 17 titles from the iconic Japanese developer. Classics like Space Invaders, Elevator Action, Bubble Bobble, The NewZealand Story, and Rastan come with a TAITO-inspired color scheme.
A striking feature of these handhelds is their User Interface that includes an "Easy Mode". This mode helps novice and young players play without the challenging difficulty spikes.
The Super Pocket devices are compatible with Blaze Entertainment’s Evercade Cartridges, expanding their game library to over 500 games. They include a 320x320 IPS screen, a circular D-Pad, four face buttons, and four rear buttons.
Interested gamers can pre-order these Super Pocket devices from July 14th, with an expected release in October 2023.
