On October 14, Steam opened its doors on the October issue of their Steam Next Fest, a season for up-and-coming games to break out demos for all to try out. Whether you're a fan of action-packed adventures, mind-bending puzzles, or immersive RPGs, there's something for everyone.
Steam Next Fest has become a cornerstone event for both developers and players alike, offering a sneak peek into the future of gaming. In this month's edition, there are hundreds of demos available. This includes demos of upcoming games like The Precinct, Antonblast, Stone of Madness, Voin, and the cinematic 2.5D platforming adventure, Ari Buktu and the Anytime Elevator.
According to Steam's charts, some of the early highlights with the most wishlists are: the free to play FPS, Delta Force; the action roguelike, Windblown; and the open world simulation game, Streets of Rogue 2. These are followed by Sand, V.A Proxy, Strinova, Mini Royale, and Builders of Egypt.
With a dizzying array of upcoming games available, it can be hard to know where to start. Luckily, Steam offers a Discovery Queue on the Next Fest landing page for players to browse through the catalog one by one.
Steam has also released a brief teaser for the event.
"No matter what kind of game you’re in the mood for, developers from all over the world are showcasing their demos during Next Fest, looking for feedback from players and hoping for wishlists," Steam said.
Of course, if you want to discover more games, you can also head on to whatoplay's Game Finder to browse through games by genres, playscores, and other filters.
You can also visit the Upcoming Games section for the full list of upcoming games from this year and beyond.
