Soul Survivors, where time-survival meets roguelite combat, will hit PCs next month. Indie game developer Stingbot Games announced they would launch Early Access for Soul Survivors on May 3.
Stingbot Games also said streamers could get an exclusive first try on the game, weeks before its scheduled Early Access release. The California-based game studio stated that Soul Survivors would have a Preview Beta Build beginning April 10.
Starting this week, we will be providing access to a Preview Beta Build of the game exclusively to streamers,
said Stingbot Games. So they can play and show off some gameplay before the big launch,
they added.
According to its developers, Soul Survivors is a dark-fantasy game reminiscent of retro arcade games. The upcoming game features time-survival, roguelite, and souls-like elements. This means players can expect “challenging, skill-based action combat.”
Soul Survivors combines the breakneck pace of time-survival games with the skill-based systems of hardcore action RPGs and Souls-likes,
Stingbot Games described. The game also comes in a 2D, pixel art style.
Sterling Selover of Stingbot Games said they look forward to welcoming players this May. We are hard at work building and expanding on Soul Survivors to create a game unlike anything that's come before it,
he added.
The Early Access version of the upcoming game will allow players to choose two of the six hero classes. These are the Bogatyr and the Necromancer. Its May launch will also roll out two out of the four levels, the Linden Forest and Usvit Depths.
According to Stingbot Games, the Early Access mode for Soul Survivors may last 9 to 12 months. The time Soul Survivors remains in Early Access could be longer, but we have a clear vision for the development cycle of the game,
they explained. / ###
