Solo: Islands of the Heart Opens Pre-Orders On Xbox One and the Switch

Contemplating on our loving romances--past and present--is probably a thing we do anyway. In Solo: Islands of the Heart, from Team Gotham and Merge Games, is coming soon to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Switch and it will reward you for doing just that.

It explores the theme of love as fuel and "the force that drives us." Their summary goes on:

It is a universal feeling, but each of us experiences it in a different way. Individually, it holds different meanings depending on a variety of factors such as culture, gender, sexuality or traumas. That's why Solo explores this theme in an introspective way, to have the players identify and reflect on their own experiences.

Solo: Islands of the Heart brands itself as a contemplative puzzler. You're set on a journey in a surreal archipelago filled with islands that have their own unique puzzles. Solving them will take you Sleeping totems, and this is where the reflection comes in. As they wake up, they will ask you questions about your own love and relationships.

Given the ESRB rating of Teens, you can expect to live up to its promise of exploring various facets of gender and sexuality despite its cute and cartoony visuals.

As a contemplative puzzler, you also get to explore at your own pace, whether that means sitting on benches, taking selfies with animals, and taking in the view.

Pre-orders for Solo: Islands of the Heart is now open on the eShop and Microsoft Store. Its official releases are July 30 (US) and July 31st (EU) for the PlayStation 4, July 31st for the Xbox One, and August 1st on the Nintendo Switch.
