PLAYISM has announced the upcoming console release of Rusted Moss, a unique grappling metroidvania. It will launch for the Switch, PS5, and Series X|S in Spring of 2024.
A significant content update for PC has been delayed. Initially planned to release this year, it has been postponed to coincide with the console release in 2024. This update includes about eight hours of gameplay, over 300 new rooms, a Boss Rush Mode, a new mode for speedrunners. This update promises to enhance the game's depth.
Rusted Moss allows for flexible navigation, offering a 360° aiming system and a physics-based grappling hook. It comes with an array of weapons that encourages strategic play in both exploration and boss fights.
Rusted Moss was first released on Steam last April 12. It received lukewarm reception from gamers citing added complexity of its grappling mechanics. Subsequent patches have improved the gameplay.
Rusted Moss is available on Steam for $19.99; no price yet has been announced for consoles.
