Pandemic Is Spreading Into the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on August 1st

Pandemic, a cooperative strategy title from Asmodee Digital, is coming to Switch and Xbox One consoles next month, with a relatively low retail a price of $19.99. This is is revealed in their recent live action announcement trailer that showcases the different roles and characters that you can play to save the Earth from the game's looming global Pandemic.

In Pandemic, you will work alongside other players to contain four epidemics that are ravaging different regions in the world. While the cooperative multiplayer is only up to five players, Pandemic offers seven different disease-fighting roles to choose from. These are contingency planner, dispatcher, medic, scientist, researcher, operations expert, or quarantine specialist. Combine each of their unique abilities and do whatever possible to overcome the challenges before time runs out.

Pandemic is a digital adaptation of the successful boardgame designed by Matt Leacock which won awards like the 2009 Golden Geek "Best Family Board Game." Developed by Z-Man games, it will include aspects of the base game as well as its many expansions and will feature much of the original couch cooperative turn-based strategy gameplay.

By September, more content will be added to the game. One the Brink - Virulent Strain which adds a new kind of virus, and On the Brink - Roles and Events which offers new roles and events.
