On November 17, 2023, Atari and PLAION will start selling a new version of the iconic Atari 2600 video game console from the 1970s and 80s. 

This new console is called the Atari 2600+. It looks and works just like the original Atari 2600 console. It even includes a CX40+ Joystick controller that is the same size and layout as the original from the 1970s.

The Atari 2600+ lets you play classic Atari 2600 and 7800 games on modern TVs through an HDMI output. It also adds new features like USB power and support for multiple screen resolutions. 

<q>Preserving classic games is a priority for Atari, and the release of the Atari 2600+ will make the hundreds of Atari 2600 and 7800 games that have been released over the last 50 years universally accessible,</q> said Atari Chairman and CEO, Wade Rosen. 

The package comes with a single cartridge that has 10 iconic Atari games: Adventure, Combat, Dodge 'Em, Haunted House, Maze Craze, Missile Command, Realsports Volleyball, Surround, Video Pinball, and Yars' Revenge.

The Atari 2600+ costs $129.99 in the US. It will be sold online at <a href="https://atari.com">atari.com</a> and in stores worldwide starting November 17. Other accessories like paddle controllers and extra game cartridges will also be sold separately.
