Moonlighter And This War Of Mine Are This Week’s Free Games On The Epic Store

The Epic Store is serious about being Steam’s direct competitor. For the past few months since their launch, it is giving away FREE games every week for the entire year. That is a whole lot of games to collect and Epic is making sure you have enough titles to play on their Launcher.

For this week until August 2, two of11bit Studios’ popular games are free. This includes the depressing war survival game, This War Of Mine, and the dungeon-crawling pixel adventures of a hero leading a double life, Moonlighter.

It is also the first time the Epic Store is giving away TWO games instead of one. Last week, PlayDead’s award-winning Indie puzzle game LIMBO gets the support it needs for introducing new players (possibly the Fortnite playerbase) into this classic.

Knowing Epic’s reputation to produce good titles, the games they are giving away for FREE are not even bad games.

Over the past few months, Epic Store users received Overcooked, World of Goo, Enter the Gungeon, Torchlight 2, Subnautica, City Of Brass, Stories Untold, Oxenfree, Rime, The Witness, Rebel Galaxy, The Jackbox Party Pack 1, Thimbleweed Park, What Remains Of Edith Finch, Last Day Of June and Rebel Galaxy for free.

But it is not over yet. Next week, to open their doors for their M-Rating library, Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake and Ubisoft’s For Honor are up for you to grab forever.
