New Trailer for Monster Hunter Rise Shows More Giant, Fantastic Creatures

Capcom is set to bring Monster Hunter to the Nintendo Switch with Monster Hunter Rise (MHR), and a lot of fans are excited to get their hands on the game later this month. What’s great is, the studio has just held a digital event showcasing all the great things that are coming to MHR, and fans should get excited about the upcoming demo.

Check out the new trailer:

Team up and save Kamura village from the impending "Rampage"! Harness the new Wirebug hunting tool and enlist the help of Palicoes, and Palamutes, your new Canyne companions!

As you can see, the game is still filled with these amazing, gigantic creatures that give Monster Hunter its signature feel. While fans are getting some newer monsters, some fan-favorites are coming back like the Zinogre and Nargacuga.

The digital event actually goes in-depth on the different types of gameplay elements that will be present in Monster Hunter Rise. One specific new challenge is the Rampage quest-type, which will have players defending the village of Kamura (with the chance that an Apex monster could arrive during the siege). Players also have access to new ‘Silkbind Attacks’ and ‘Switch Skills’ that will allow for new combos and adjustments to players’ specific playstyles.

Players who are looking to participate in the second Monster Hunter Rise demo can also keep their eyes open for it on March 12. The main game launches for the Nintendo Switch on March 26. Find more games in our updated list of titles coming soon to the Switch.
