After the success of Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight, which currently ranks as one of the best PS4 metroidvania games, and Minoria on the PC, Dangen Entertainment and Bombservice have been working on bringing their hit action game to the console.
In a recent trailer, they announced the game's arrival to the Switch, PS4, and Xbox One this September.
As a spiritual successor to their Momodora series, Minoria boasts a lot of similarities to Bombservice's previous Metroidvania title.
Like Momodora, Minoria's gameplay is packed with parries, dodges, and a whole variety of attack combos and spells.
But, while the level designs will also be familiar, Minoria moved away from the 2D pixel art visuals and went for a more high-resolution aesthetic that mixes hand painted backdrops with cel-shaded characters and sequences.
Set in the same universe, Minoria takes place during a time of extreme religious fervor when heretics are hunted down to "purge" their sins. Playing as Sister Semilla, a missionary given the task of purifying the world, you find that your mission is more than meets the eye.
Minoria is set to release on the PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on September 10.
