<p>Game publisher <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/paradox-interactive/">Paradox Interactive</a> teams up with developer <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/c-prompt-games/">C Prompt Games</a> for a new turn-based strategy game called <a href="https://beta.whatoplay.com/pc/millennia/">Millennia</a>.</p>

<p><strong>Millennia</strong> will let players guide a civilization through 10,000 years of human history, from the Stone Age to the near future. </p>

<p>Millennia is being designed by veteran strategy game developers Rob Fermier, Ian Fischer and Brian Sousa. They have worked on games like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/age-of-empires-ii-definitive-edition/">Age of Empires II</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/age-of-mythology/">Age of Mythology</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/starcraft-ii-wings-of-liberty/">Starcraft II</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/orcs-must-die/">Orcs Must Die</a>.</p>

<p>Millenia will combine mechanics from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/turn-based-strategy/" title="Best turn-based strategy games">turn-based</a> 4X games with new systems for better replayability. Each historical age has unique rules, units, buildings, goods, and challenges. Players can steer their civilization down alternate history paths for more variety. Customizable National Spirits give different bonuses to shape your nation. Investing in Exploration, Government, Warfare, Diplomacy, Engineering, and Arts unlocks special powers. </p>

<p>Other features include a complex economic system, customizable armies, a combat viewer for battles, landmarks, technology trees, diplomacy, and managing various historical events and periods.</p>

<p>Millennia is planned for release in 2024. It will be available on PC.</p>
