Agent 47 Returns in Launch Trailer for Hitman 3

IO Interactive is set to release Hitman 3 this coming Jan. 20. To get fans hyped for the return of Agent 47, the studio has released a new launch trailer showing off all the colorful locations of the upcoming game as well as all the other cool things you can do in the ‘World of Assassination’ trilogy.

Agent 47 returns in HITMAN 3 for the most important contracts of his entire career. The dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy awaits.

Though Hitman 3 will conclude the story of its mascot Agent 47, we should expect IO to work on more games that fall under the Hitman IP. Talking to Game Informer, Hitman 3 director Christian Elverdam had said that they are looking to expand on the property, comparing it to the 007 franchise. He says:

"If you think about the future of Hitman as well, if you think about the future of the Bond franchise, we’re in a place where we feel curious and hungry, creatively… If you think about what would Bond be, what would Hitman be in the future, hopefully you’ll think, ‘hey these guys certainly seem like they … are interested in trying to take the games new places.’"
