Many titles in the fighting game genre have managed to transcend several generations of consoles from Street Fighter to Tekken, and just in, we have an announcement for new characters coming to the next Guilty Gear game, Guilty Gear -Strive-.

While other franchise like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter have moved on from the 2D feel to more 3D visuals, it looks like Guilty Gear is still sticking to the more traditional aesthetic when it comes to their game. They’re still using updated 3D models for characters, but the 2D look is prevalent, from the visual gags to character interactions.
It’s also worth noting that Arc System Works America Inc. has announced that the game is also coming to the PS5, so we should get more information on that soon. Hopefully we’ll get a full look before the year ends.
Expect Guilty Gear –Strive- to be available for the PS4, PS5, and PC sometime early 2021.
