After welcoming Black Jack in Crazy Defense Heroes, Animoca Brands goes medieval in their new tower-defense game, Beast Quest Ultimate Heroes.

Unlike Crazy Defense Heroes, this new game focuses on fantasy elements as it's based on the best-selling children's book series, Beast Quest.

The series has sold over 20 million copies and it seems to be translating into the mobile adaptation with over 560,000 pre-orders and pre-registrations.

Featuring magic, epic battles, wizards and beasts, Beast Quest Ultimate Heroes, is a 3D tower defense mobile game with collectible card elements, the tactics of resource management, and RPG hero and equipment systems.

In Beast Quest Ultimate Heroes, an evil wizard has enslaved the magical Beasts of Avantia, the fantasy setting of the Beast Quest novels. Players must control Tom, the son of the legendary Taladon the Swift, as well as other heroes and Beasts to defend Avantia, defeat evil hordes of enemies, and ultimately free the enslaved Beasts from evil’s thrall.

It's not all that different from their Crazy Defense Heroes title, but it does seem like it's a more promising venture than the now discontinued Beast Quest game released in 2015.

Beast Quest Ultimate Heroes is now available for download on Android and iOS. For more mobile games, you can check out our respective lists for the Best Android Games and the Best iOS Games.
