They have also targeted an October release for the game. It will be available for PC, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/overpass-2/">PlayStation 5</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/overpass-2/">Xbox Series X|S</a>, Nacon said.</p>

<p><q>Overpass 2 will be available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 19 October 2023,</q> they wrote in a press release.</p>

<p>The first game in the series, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/overpass/" title="Overpass for PlayStation 4">Overpass</a>, arrived in 2019, but it faced a lukewarm reception and garnered mixed reviews from gamers and critics alike. With Overpass 2, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/neopica/">Neopica Studios</a> raises the bar, promising a better gaming experience with more content and improved mechanics. The sequel to Overpass will integrate insights from player feedback on the original game, they added.</p>

<p>Nacon and Neopica Studios, an indie development team based in Belgium, have revealed several details about Overpass 2. The upcoming game will have 37 vehicles, 31 circuits, five environments, and three categories. It also features multiple race modes, including a <strong>"much deeper career mode,"</strong> the gaming companies said.</p>

Offroad Racing Thrills Return: Overpass Gets Sequel

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/gangs-of-sherwood/" title="Gangs of Sherwood for PC">Gangs of Sherwood</a>, a sci-fi take on the legend of Robin Hood, is coming to consoles and PCs this year. The game will be published by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/nacon/">Nacon</a> and developed by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/appeal-studios/">Appeal Studios</a>, a subsidiary of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/thq-nordic/">THQ Nordic</a>. </p>

<p>In a press release, they announced that the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/upcoming/" title="Upcoming PC games list">upcoming game</a> is set to launch this fall, or between September and December. Gangs of Sherwood is a cooperative action game that will allow players to team up with up to four friends to take on the notorious Sheriff of Nottingham.</p>

<p>In addition to Robin Hood, players can choose from classic characters, such as Friar Tuck, Little John, and Maid Marian. Appeal Studios has also decided to introduce less-known characters, such as Alan-a-Dale. Like the legend itself, Gangs of Sherwood is set in medieval England, but it will be more focused on war. The creators have also decided to introduce science-fantasy elements into the game, meaning players can expect to use various weapons and powers in combat, not just bows and arrows.</p>

The Lionheart can transform any metal and give it magical properties, he added. "[It has a] big impact on combat, on the way the characters interact with enemies, and the power they can unleash, which results in explosive and spectacular battles," explained di Stefano. Aside from sci-fi elements, developers will introduce "new environments" in familiar locations</p>.

Prime Matter and Nightdive Studios announced that the System Shock Remake had gone gold. In turn, they will be launching the action-adventure game on <strong>May 30</strong>.</p>

<p><q>(This May 30), players will be treated to developer Nightdive Studio's stunningly-faithful recreation of the classic shooter/immersive sim,</q> the two gaming companies said in a joint press release.</p>

<p>System Shock Remake will be released digitally for PC on Steam, GOG, and Epic Games. Prime Matter has started accepting preorders for the game for PC devices. System Shock Remake is also expected to be ported to next-gen consoles and MacOS devices. However, the publisher and developer have yet to reveal more details.</p>

<p><q>Console editions of System Shock will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Series X|S in due course. More details will be shared in the future,</q> they said.</p>

<p>The developers stressed that System Shock Remake was a reboot, not a remastered version of the original 1994 game. The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/upcoming/" title="Upcoming video games">upcoming game</a> will feature high-definition (HD) visuals and an overhaul of its user interface and controls. <p>News of a remake of System Shock first surfaced in 2015. The producers even <a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1598858095/system-shock">launched a Kickstarter campaign</a> to fund its development.  They surpassed their goal of securing US$900,000 in July 2016, when over 21,600 backers contributed US$1.35 million. However, the full launch of System Shock Remake has been postponed multiple times for various reasons. These included developers' decision to switch from Unity to Unreal Engine 4. The team behind System Shock Remake also took a hiatus in 2018.</p>

<p>The creators initially teased players with a demo version in 2020 and announced plans to release it that same year. However, the release date was later pushed back to 2021 and 2022, citing the need for further development to meet the creators' standards.</p>

<p>Independent gaming studio <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/fiveamp-llc/">Fiveamp</a> has lifted the veil on their latest project, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/nimrods/">NIMRODS</a>, a <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/new/roguelike/" title="New roguelike games">new roguelite game</a> that promises to transport players to an intergalactic adventure.</p>

<p>NIMRODS combine elements of gun-crafting, survival action, and reverse bullet hell. The highly anticipated game immerses players in a chaotic universe filled with interstellar conflict. Gamers will become members of the elite space hunters group, NIMRODS, and fight for survival in a 2D pixel-art style world.</p>

<p><q>NIMRODS [is] an elite guild of space hunters who traverse the cosmos, hunting dangerous aliens for bounty and glory,</q> the developers said. The upcoming game will release via Early Access within the second half of 2023, Fiveamp said. It will be available on PC and Mac devices, the developers added.</p>

<p>NIMRODs' diverse cast of heroes offers players eight distinct playable characters, each with unique abilities and load-outs. The game also contains at least 16 gun types, 354 attachments, and "157 trillion gun builds," Fiveamp said. Gamers can unlock new characters and weapon upgrades as they progress through every level.</p>

<p><q>At the end of each mission, your hard-earned weapon will be extracted and returned to base,</q> developers said. Once their weapons reach their base, players can "study and research" them to "uncover new ones, attachments, armor, and more.</p>

Independent gaming studio Fiveamp has lifted the veil on their latest project, NIMRODS, a new roguelite game that promises to transport players to an intergalactic adventure.

<p>Publisher <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/thq-nordic/">THQ Nordic</a> just released a countdown for the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/" title="Switch games">Nintendo Switch</a> launch of its action RPG <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/biomutant/" title="Biomutant for the Nintendo Switch">Biomutant</a>.</p>

<p>The Vienna-based video game publisher announced it would port Biomutant to Switch consoles this year. They have also set a release date for November 30. In turn, they set up a webpage counting the days before Switch's launch.</p>

<p>In Biomutant, players become anthropomorphic characters in a Wung Fu-fable world. Combat mechanics in the game do not only feature melee and shooting. The developers have incorporated martial arts elements into it.</p>

<p>The game's primary campaign takes players into a post-apocalyptic world. The story arc revolved around the 'Tree of Life' and six conflicting factions called 'Tribes'. Players can choose whether to fight or forge alliances with the tribes. It is also up to them to decide the fate of the "Tree of Life."</p>

<p>Biomutant came out in 2021. The open-world RPG first landed on <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/biomutant/">PC</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/biomutant/">PS5</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/biomutant/">Series X|S</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/biomutant/">PS4</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/biomutant/">Xbox One</a>. A Portuguese retailer allegedly released promotional material stating that the game would go live on Switch that year. It remained to be seen whether the information was legitimate.</p>

<p>Biomutant received mixed reviews from gamers and critics alike. Some players claimed the creators had not lived up to their expectations. Publisher THQ Nordic just released a countdown for the Nintendo Switch launch of its action RPG Biomutant.

Publisher A Plus Japan announced that <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/street-fighter-duel/">Street Fighter: Duel</a>'s upcoming event will feature a Devil May Cry crossover.</p>

<p>Like its previous event, players can unlock a new character to play. This time, it will be Devil May Cry's very own Dante. The publisher added that gamers could unlock Dante "by chance" using Special Summon Tickets, which they can get during the event.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/devil-may-cry-5/" title="Devil May Cry for PC">Devil May Cry</a> and Street Fighter: Duel collaboration will welcome players on May 11. They have until May 24 to complete all tasks in the event, including getting Dante.</p>

KAKU: Ancient Seal Early Access Gameplay Released

<p>Indie game publisher <a href="https://www.apogeeent.com/" title="Apogee Entertainment" title="Apogee Entertainment official website">Apogee Entertainment</a> has announced the upcoming release of their newest game. And it is titled <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/vexlands/" title="Vexlands for PC">Vexlands</a>.</p>

<p>The Texas-based publisher said it would launch Vexlands on PCs in early 2024. They said the game will be available on <a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/2184280/Vexlands/">Steam</a>, GOG, and Epic Games.  <a href="http://www.emberheartgames.com/" title="Emberheart Games official website">Emberheart Games</a>, a one-man indie studio based in Slovenia, is currently working on Vexlands. It is an <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/open-world/" title="Best open world pc games">open-world</a> crafting game with 2D pixel art graphics.</p>

<p>According to its publisher, the upcoming game features a <strong>"combination of coziness and adventure."</strong> They also mentioned that there is plenty of room for customization. <q>Vexlands shines in its customizability. Each playthrough is a new experience that lends itself to different playstyles,</q> Scott Miller, Founder of Apogee, said.</p>

<p>In the meantime, Apogee has released an official Vexlands trailer on YouTube. The video, which lasted about a minute and a half, highlighted the work that has been done so far. It also gave players a glimpse of what to expect in the game. </p>

<p>In Vexlands, players are transported to a world of cursed lands. As the lone survivors, they have to rebuild civilization. They also need to ensure these communities thrive despite lingering threats. <q>In this peculiar, all but vacant landscape, discover remnants of the past that tell tales of the disappearance of humanity,</q> Apogee described.</p>

<p>Aside from the basics of a town simulation game, it also incorporates adventure elements. These included the ability to explore, hunt, forage, and battle enemies. Apogee confirmed that players could also go on dungeon crawls in Vexlands.</p>

<p><q>[Players must] level up adventuring skills to make quick work of enemies during skirmishes and dastardly dungeon crawls,</q> the publisher said. The game also allows them to customize and choose their characters. They can be a <q>resourceful gatherer, a wealthy crafter, or a battle-hardened warrior.</q></p>
