Upcoming indie game <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/great-god-grove/">Great God Grove</a> just got a release date. Creators from LimboLane and Fellow Traveller have announced that Great God Grove will arrive on November 15.

The game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
Great God Grove will also be showcased during Steam Next Fest which will run from October 14 to 21.

The game follows a mail-carrier tasked with saving the world from an impending apocalypse. Every once in a while, the gods come together to postpone the apocalypse. But one day, the god of communication started a bunch of fights before going awol.

"With the sky splitting and the gods in disarray, who’s gonna join the Bizzyboys to help SAVE DA WORLD FROM A-POCKY-LIPS???" the game's description reads.

Players will take the role of the gods' new messenger. They will have the ability to absorb speech bubbles and fire them at others.

"As the gods’ new mail-carrier, suck up lines of dialogue with your mail-cannon and launch them back to solve puzzles," developers described.

In the game, players will encounter a colorful cast of characters. Developers said the game will have at least 60 characters. This will include bizarre gods and quirky individuals.

Great God Grove also features a semi-choice system. This means that players' decisions could influence the characters' emotions and actions.

"Listen to their woes and wonders, then deliver key messages to solve their problems—or just to see how they’ll react!" developers added.

The game also has a vibrant world to explore. In Great God Grove, players can expect a combination of third and first-person gameplay.

LimboLane, the creative duo behind Great God Grove, is known for its quirky and surreal games. Their previous title, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/smile-for-me/">Smile For Me</a>, was released in 2019 and received positive reviews.

Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream throws players headfirst into the series' online multiplayer experience. 

The game features an original story about Galaxia. It is a newly installed system in Alfheim Online. But then a malfunction causes all words and timelines to merge.

In turn, Kirito and his friends find themselves lost in this unfamiliar territory. They must navigate dangers and forge unexpected alliances to survive.

In Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, up to 20 players can team up to embark on epic quests. There, they expect to tackle boss raids or explore expansive environments.

The game will allow players to choose their favorite heroes and even some villains.

The trailer also confirmed that the game contains at least 21 iconic characters from the Sword Art Online universe. These included fan favorites like Asuna, Kirito, and Leafa.

Beyond character selection, players delve deeper into customization. Players can choose to select six distinct classes. These are the Fighter, Tank, Rogue, Ranger, Mage, and Support. Each class offers unique combat styles and advantages on the battlefield.

Developers from Tribute Games on September 24 finally rolled out the last downloadable content (DLC) for the hit <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/best/beat-em-up/">beat 'em up</a>. Titled 'Radical Reptiles', the expansion pack adds two new playable characters to the roster.

The latest DLC introduces Mondo Gecko and Mona Lisa.

Known as the radical surfer and loyal friend to the Turtles, Mondo Gecko dishes out damage with his skateboard. Meanwhile, gamers can play as Mona Lisa. As Mona Lisa, they can use her potent chemical concoctions as projectiles.

Both characters hail from the iconic 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television series. This is their debut as playable characters in a beat-em-up video game.

A new cozy strategy game is coming soon on PC and Xbox - and it is where players find themselves in a world of Catholic themes and African folklore.

Winnipeg-based filmmaker Bisong Taiwo unveiled his latest game project titled Sainthood. The upcoming game is scheduled for release later this fall, Taiwo said in a press release.

Sainthood is inspired by titles like Final Fantasy X and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/undefined/">The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening</a>. It blends cozy gameplay with deeper narrative themes.

According to Taiwo, the game promises to deliver a 'unique and heartwarming experience.' It also focuses on helping others and fostering a sense of community. This way, the game also promotes kindness, spirituality, and personal reflection, said Taiwo.

"Many games that explore Christian themes often fall into parody or use religion as a tool for domination," he added.

In Sainthood, players take on the role of a mysterious nun stranded on an idyllic island. But it would take 33 days before the rescue ship arrives. So in the meantime, players must navigate both the island's secrets and their own past.

The game is set in an illustrated miniature world and features a dynamic day-night cycle.

Players get to explore miniature-like grids, and build upgrades. Along the way, they can also interact with friendly and malevolent spirits. Time management is crucial, with tasks ranging from delivering packages, praying, and volunteering. The game also features a rich narrative, exploring themes of faith, culture, and personal growth.

The Shrek Special Pack will allow players to tackle challenging cleaning tasks - with the fairytale twist.

Fans of Shrek 2 can also visit the Fairy Godmother’s Potion Factory to de-gunk machinery and keep potions flowing.

This pre-registration not only grants access to the game upon its full release. But also unlocks a purr-fectly special reward: a Legendary Cat. Players can also receive exclusive cosmetics for Appxplore's other award-winning casual games, Crab War and Claw Stars.

As of September 18, the Australia-based developer and publisher said over 500,000 players have pre-registered for Snaky Cat.

Indie developer Pathea Games unveiled <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/my-time-at-evershine/">My Time at Evershine</a>, the next chapter in its popular life simulation series.

Building upon the success of My Time at Portia and My <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/my-time-at-sandrock/">Time at Sandrock</a>, this new installment promises a fresh and exciting experience. Both for life-sim veterans and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/rpg/">RPG</a> enthusiasts. Whatoplay users can find similar simulators and RPGs using the game finder.

My Time at Evershine expands the series formula with new and improved features, according to its creators. Developers also revealed that the budget for its creation may cost approximately $12 million.

“My Time at Sandrock cost a lot, like $12-million-a-lot, and still counting,” explained Zifei Wu, Creative Director of the My Time series. "We expect Evershine’s budget to be somewhere in the ballpark as well," he added.
This included an enhanced, new art style, revamped gameplay mechanics, and a new narrative campaign.

Players will also delve into a world filled with diverse romanceable characters. The game also contains more than 40 hours of exploration and a novel town management system.

In previous titles, players become builders . They must complete essential tasks to keep their towns running.

But in My Time at Evershine, it takes a bold step forward, transforming players into Governors. As the city's leader, they will start with a basic camp. But their vision and leadership will shape the entire settlement and its citizens. This will allow players to focus on shaping the city's future while delegating routine tasks to recruited NPCs.

My Time at Evershine is in early development. In addition, more features will be unveiled when the Kickstarter campaign launches this September 24th. Pathea is also seeking community feedback to refine key elements of the game's design and execution.

My Time at Evershine is slated for release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and future Nintendo platforms.

Pathea Games Unveils My Time at Evershine

The award-winning sandbox <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/core-keeper/">Core Keeper</a> has reached a new milestone.

Creators from Fireshine Games and Pugstorm revealed that the game has already attracted over 3 million players. They described this latest development as a 'massive milestone.' Especially considering that Core Keeper just came out on August 27.

In addition, developers announced that the game has garnered a 'Very Positive" rating on Steam. Over 37,000 Steam users praised its unique blend of exploration, crafting, and combat.

“Core Keeper’s success has only been possible because of the love, care, and attention that developer Pugstorm has poured into the game," said Sarah Hoeksma, Chief Marketing Officer at Fireshine Games.

"And we are absolutely delighted to see so many players enjoying the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/adventure/">adventure</a> across console and PC,” she added.

On whatoplay, it received a playscore of 8.7 for PC.

Hoeksma also expressed her gratitude to the game's dedicated community. She highlighted their positive support throughout Core Keeper's journey. In the meantime, she said their team looked forward to expanding the game to more platforms soon.

Core Keeper is a sandbox adventure. In it, players dive into a vast, subterranean world teeming with creatures, treasures, and hidden secrets.
They will get to harvest resources, build a base, craft advanced tools, and explore diverse biomes. All while leveling up their skills and battling legendary Titans to unlock the mysteries of the Core.
