EA announces New Plants vs. Zombies and Need For Speed title coming this year

Electronic Arts (EA) officially announced that its next Plants vs. Zombies game is in development. Unfortunately, that’s all EA has for us since it is still in pre-alpha state. Fans of the frenetic floras can pre-register to play it early on the Google Play Store once it comes out soon. iOS users might have to wait a bit longer.

According to EA, Plants vs. Zombies 3 will remain FREE to play and strictly for the mobile. However, knowing EA, expect microtransactions. Fortunately enough, the game’s alpha version for the Android does not contain any.

EA also announced a second Plants vs Zombie game coming out for the PC within this year and it is primarily focused on shooter combat. It is akin to its Battlefield-like Garden Warfare which features epic set pieces and some heavy firepower.

Releasing on the same window as the unannounced Plants vs. Zombies title is also their much-awaited Needs for Speed follow-up. Rumored to be called “Need for Speed: Heat”, this unannounced title will make its full reveal during this year’s Gamescom which begins in August 20 and ends on the 24.

Need for Speed developer Ghost Games promised something huge for this game, so all we have to do is wait.
